The Curtainsville, Pennsylvania Community Theatre company is preparing a holiday production of Dickens’ classic, A Christmas Carol. On the surface, a jovial group, there is more to the company than meets the eye. An egomaniacal and philandering leading man has rubbed almost everyone the wrong way. Indeed, much discord exists among company members. At this joyous time of year, all is not as it seems. Your audience will totally enjoy this holiday evening (or afternoon) of classically comic catastrophes.

The Irish Eyes Murders

It is St. Patrick’s Day at a friendly, family Irish Pub. To celebrate, a festive karaoke party is in full swing. Lots of laughs and wonderful Irish songs signal a high time. But all is not as it would appear. Suddenly, there is a scream....... and the burned-out local hero is dead. But why? And who is responsible? Is it the flirtatious hussy, the wealthy pub-owner, the way-too-happy karaoke singer, or perhaps the sweet young barmaid? The Mother of the Year Murders

The competition is down to three finalists: Hilary Smintten, the ruthless U.S. Senator seeking a measure of revenge on her philandering husband; June Cleavage, the TVLand icon, hoping to shed her good-girl image; Livia Castrano, a tough broad who is the matriarch of a successful “sanitation engineering” firm. The competition is fierce with each contestant willing to do “whatever it takes” to win. But something goes terribly wrong. Someone is dead.!!! But why? And who is responsible? Vanity! Greed! The Schoolhouse Masquerade Murders

But from the moment the two families arrived for the wedding, there was tension in the air. Joey has been groomed to continue the “family tradition” in waste management. But, his wife-to-be has other ideas. Suddenly the joyous festivities take a most tragic turn. A beloved family member is sleeping with the fishes. It’s a clash of cultures that will leave your audience in stitches.

Murder In Black And White

It’s an irreverent and somewhat naughty send-up of film noir detective movies. The tragic evening centers around a “live” radio broadcast from the fictitious Curtainsville Inn, circa 1940. The radio performers are excited about their first live coast to coast broadcast. But amidst all the excitement there is clearly an air of intrigue abounding. As the show goes “live” we hear a shot. Someone is very dead. In a throwback to a time gone by, your audience will get into the moment of dark shadows, and deadly motives…..and lots of laughs along the way.

Thriller Convention Murders

Stephen Queen was a very successful writer of horror fiction. His best selling books include Victorian Day Vampires, The Delaware River Decapitations, and his most recent success, Masquerade Murder Along The Musconetcong.
Queen’s home town, Curtainsville, Pa, is the site of the annual Thriller Convention, to which hundreds make a pilgrimage each year to pay homage to their favorite stars of the macabre and other assorted genres. This year Queen will return to his hometown for the first time, as a special guest of the convention. But all is not as regal as Queen may think. Suddenly there is a bloodcurdling scream and someone is very dead. It’s a howling comedy with lots of great acting opportunities, and of course, ghoulish fun for your audience.

Suddenly shots ring out and someone is very dead. But why? And who is responsible? What begins as an evening of merriment, quickly turns hysterically ugly.
